CONSTITUTION-BASED CIVIC EDUCATION AS AN INSTRUMENT FOR STRENGTHENING THE PARTICIPATION OF SOUTHWEST PAPUAN COMMUNITIES IN LAW ENFORCEMENT
Abstract
This article examines the role of constitutionally based civics education in strengthening public participation in law enforcement in Southwest Papua. Geographical and sociocultural barriers, as well as low public trust, are the focus of the discussion. Key findings highlight the need to revitalize the civics curriculum, contextualizing it with local Papuan wisdom, and strengthening community-based legal education services.
